At Canine Care Behaviour, I strive to provide a professional, dog centred approach, that is honest and empathetic. My work as a behaviourist is primarily to remove unwanted behaviour with an approach that is rooted in an understanding of canine communication and behaviour, while also addressing the needs from an holistic whole dog perspective. This can take time, but the work that I do, seeks to build solid foundations of good physical and mental health, while also supporting owners to develop skills of leadership, confidence and a thorough understanding of their dogs needs.

I will always work hard to ensure that I meet the highest standards of care my clients and their dogs expect of their behaviourist.

Code of Conduct

I will seek to keep up to date with the latest knowledge regarding canine health, welfare and learning.

I will use training techniques that are dog-centred and based on a thorough understanding of canine communication, always focusing on each individual dog.

I will support and mentor owners to implement changes and to communicate with honesty and integrity.

I will not use techniques that harm or scare the dog.

My behavioural modification programs will be tailored individually to each dog and will take into account the physical and psychological well being of the client.

I will conduct myself honestly and compassionately and will consider the health and welfare of both client and their dog.

I shall respect the independence and views of other behavioural practitioners and their methods and opinions unless their methods may be considered abuse.

I shall seek to keep myself informed of new theories and training methods in the field of canine behavioural welfare and training.

I will seek to acquire additional skills and improve my knowledge.

I will maintain a valid public and professional indemnity insurance policy.
